Putting a Animal on Hold:
To place a gecko on hold with us, we require a 25% down nonrefundable deposit. Once you place gecko on hold, a payment plan must be in place within 24 hours. We will not hold any animals without the initial nonrefundable deposit. Spider payment plans are available as we sometimes hold spiders due to weather or other shipping concerns.
Payment Plans:
We are glad to offer payment plans for any gecko over $300. To start up a payment plan with us, please email us stating so, and place the hold deposit. Once this is issued the full price of the gecko must be paid off within 90 days. We require that at least 33% of total be paid off for each month. We do understand if something comes us and ask for clear and prompt communication if an event happens. If the end of the 90 day period arrives with lack of communication and lack of full payment, the gecko will be listed again. To keep this from happening, all payments in a payment plan are final. If the gecko on hold drops it tail, we are not responsible as sometimes geckos do this for no apparent reason.
Shipping:
We ship to the nearest FedEx hub to you for all geckos, and when weather permits allow home deliveries for inverts. We do this to ensure the safety of the animals we ship. FedEx hubs are temperature controlled, requires less moving of the animal which reduces stress, and eliminates the possibility of the animals getting delivered to the wrong address. Safety during shipping is our top priority. We will only ship when the weather is safe to do so for specific species. If you are curious to know what we base safe shipping weather as, feel free to email us! We will hold the animal until the weather permits safe shipping conditions. FedEx requires I.D. at pick-up, so please make sure to have this ready. Please contact us immediately upon picking up your animal as failure to do so will VOID health guarantee and DOA refund policies. Shipping is not cheap. FedEx rates are based on your zip code and calculated by distance. We have no control over shipping costs. We do not offer refunds for delayed shipping. Sometimes things happen!
Geckos:
We will not ship out a gecko if the daytime temperature is below 55 and nighttime temps are below 45. We will not ship out a gecko if daytime temps are higher than 85 degrees. Due to stress during shipping, sometimes a gecko will drop its tail. We do not offer refunds for dropped tails. This does not affect the health of the gecko. IF DOA (death on arrival, which has never happened for us) contact us immediately with photos attached. For DOA cases you MUST have picked up your gecko within one hour of pick-up time slot at FedEx hub. We do not offer refunds for cases that happen after leaving FedEx hub locations. We do offer full refunds for DOA at FedEx locations. This is due to factors that may be due to husbandry care, such as lack of AC or improper materials in enclosures.
Spiders:
We will not ship out a spider if the daytime temps are over 95 or under 35 degrees. During winter we require hub to hub ( FedEx authorized location) and overnight only. IF DOA (death on arrival, which has never happened for us) contact us immediately with photos attached. For DOA cases you MUST have picked up your spider within one hour of pick-up time slot at FedEx hub. We do not offer refunds for cases that happen after leaving FedEx hub locations. We do offer full refunds for DOA at FedEx locations. This is due to factors that may be due to improper husbandry and transport care by you.
Local Pickup:
Animal Must be placed into enclosure within 5 minutes of the drop off or when getting home. Please send us a photo showing this is done, or health guarantee is VOID as we can not control what happens to the animal once we release them to you. We are happy to deliver as this will ensure proper care during transport.
Health Guarantee:
We offer a 4 day health guarantee from the delivery date. If you have any concerns with the animal, please contact us immediately no matter the time of day. We strive to keep our animals healthy and it is of our main concern. If the animal dies within 4 days of delivery date, we will ask for a necropsy at your expense. If this happens, please place the animal in a freezer until transported to necropsy location. We will refund you if the results of the test shows that it was something out of your care. All receipts must be shown. As the animals are adjusting to their new homes, we ask that you refrain from handling. Failure to do so will VOID this health guarantee. **This health guarantee is NON-VALID if failure to inform pick up from hub within one hour, or failure to place gecko into new home within 5 minutes of drop off. **
VIVARIUMS
All sales are final. We ship through UPS or FedEx Ground. Some vivarium’s require freight quotes to be shipped. If you suspect improper construction of the vivarium, you must contact us within 10 days with photos, claim and/or grievances. We offer partial refunds for cases that meet our qualifying standards. Photos must include visible damage/falling apart and you must show proof of improper construction. We are not responsible for damages that occur to the vivarium after shipping. If vivarium arrives broken, or shows rough handling during shipping, we will file a claim with FedEx or UPS. We do not offer refunds for rough handling but do offer package insurance.
For LOCAL:
We are not responsible for damages that occur after pick-up or delivery. Please inspect vivarium for any concerns the same day you pick-up, or at the time of pick-up so we can address it before it leaves with you. Please contact us within 20 days with any issues or concerns you may have. For delivery, an extra fee applies. For pick-up please make sure you have the proper conditions to transfer vivarium without damages occurring as we are not responsible for the vivarium once it leaves our property. Cases where improper construction is suspected policies remain the same.
Time to completion depends on many factors. We will work with you vigorously to customize your vivarium and ensure satisfaction with the design. This process can or may take several days or a few weeks. All products used are reptile safe. We communicate with you through the entire build process and if you do not want specific materials used, you are responsible for communicating that to us. You are agreeing to the products used for your vivarium build through our chats during the process. Again, if you don't want specific materials used, please specify. We use the same materials as we have for our own animals, and the top recommended in the hobby. Materials used varies depending on type of vivarium build. All cost of labor charges are non-refundable.
All components resold by Mountain Geckos and Exotics are covered under their respective manufacturers’ warranty. Mountain Geckos does not warrant any component other than the custom made background. Under no circumstance will Mountain Geckos be held responsible for any damages caused by defective products or for incidental or consequential damages, or for loss incurred from manufacture, sale, use, or misuse of these products.
**Mountain Geckos and Exotics is not responsible for anything that happens to any of your animals that you place into the vivarium once you receive it. There are too many factors that can play a role such as improper care of the animal before relocation to the purchased vivarium. Again, Mountain Geckos and Exotics is not responsible for anything that happens to any inhabitants living in any enclosure that we have built and sold at any time.

All sales are final. We require an initial deposit, as tank prices and builds can vary, this is per discussion between us, Mountain geckos and Exotics, and you, customer. This deposit is non-refundable. However, you have a short 24 hour time period from the submitted payment to change-your-mind. We ship through UPS. Some tanks require freight quotes to be shipped. You are responsible for all shipping costs. We are not responsible for damages that occur to the vivarium after or during shipping. If vivarium arrives broken, or shows rough handling damage during shipping, we will file a claim through UPS. We do not offer refunds for rough handling but do insure all tanks through our shipping process with UPS. If you suspect defect of the vivarium, you must contact us within 7 days with photos, claim and/or grievance. Photos must include visible damage and you must show proof of defect in the workmanship. If defect is valid with approval of Mountain Geckos and Exotics LLC, negotiation will be determined and left solely at the discretion of us.
